Tour the Award Winning ASM International Headquarters
You are invited to tour the recently renovated, award-winning ASM International Headquarters. This building is one of the first Mid-century Modern buildings to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places and receive State and Federal Historic Tax Credits.
Originally constructed in 1959, the building embodies the vision and life-work of three men: John Terence Kelly, a prominent Cleveland Modern architect at the time, William H. Eisenman, one of ASM’s founding members and its long-time National Secretary, and R. Buckminster Fuller, the world-famous mathematician, philosopher and inventor. Today, the building stands as an iconic symbol of Modern architecture and technological innovation throughout the world.
The Chesler Group completed the challenging and unique ASM International Headquarters renovation, true to the vision of the original architects, in July 2011. Since completion, the building has received the following awards:
- Best Architectural Renovation – Wallpaper* Magazine (London)
- Award of Excellence – Cleveland Engineering Society
- 2012 Preservation Award – AIA Cleveland/Cleveland Restoration Society
- Heritage Award – Heritage Ohio
Tours are offered twice a year, this year on Saturday, May 19th and Saturday, September 8th.
