The Cleveland Metropolitan School District Headquarters will be going up for auction on March 7, 2013 and developers are having a look.
The Chesler Group was there for a walk-through held today for prospective bidders on one of Cleveland’s rare historic gems, part of the redevelopment of the Downtown Lakefront.
David Browning, managing director of the Cleveland office of real estate brokerage CBRE, said the open outcry auction is set for next March 7 at noon at the Sheraton Cleveland Airport Hotel. The building sits across the street from the new Cleveland convention center rising on the city’s Mall, and has been viewed as a potential site of a hotel, apartments or a mixed-use property.
As the potential site of hotel, apartments or mixed use property the building offers great opportunities for Cleveland to capitalize on Convention Center and Medical Mart business.
